Teacher Training Program-Join us
The time is now. As Yoga speaks to you, eventually
there comes
that deep desire to give back and share it with others.
Maybe you have already been thinking about making a
change in your life or career. Perhaps you have been so inspired and
transformed by yoga that you want to learn more and help open the
door for others.
The popularity of Yoga has exploded in the United
States
over the last ten years, creating a great demand for
qualified
yoga instructors that can not only teach yoga classes
safely and
effectively, but instructors that have an in-depth
understanding of the
ancient teachings of yoga and their relevance
in the world today.
Our Yoga Teacher Training Program is a 200-hour
certification program in Hatha Yoga that qualifies the candidate to
become a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. The program
is designed for those who plan to teach traditional Hatha Yoga,
incorporate yoga into a health-related career, or for those seeking
to deepen their personal practice and understanding of yoga.
Read some of our graduates' testimonials:
"When I began the teacher training, I had certain
expectations of myself. Little did I realize that this process would
lead me into the world of yoga in ways I never imagined possible. It
has changed my life. I feel more confident in all aspects of my life
and I attribute it to learning about the eight limbs of yoga and how
to incorporate the practice of yoga into my professional and
personal life."
"I took teacher training just to learn more about
yoga, not necessarily to teach it. I had been coming to yoga class
on a regular basis for awhile and so enjoyed it that I just signed
up. I learned so many things about yoga and myself that I
never knew, and I discovered that I am indeed a teacher. I am
thrilled and honored to be able to share it now with everyone I
know. My friends, family, co-workers, and even their friends are now
asking me to teach them. It's the best thing I have ever done for
myself. Thank you! "
"I would recommend this program to anyone who wishes
to deepen their own practice and knowledge of yoga. The information
and content given in this course were excellent. To me, the personal
development was what stood out as I peeled the layers of myself back
and realized and gained so much more insight of who I am. Always
learning more about something I already knew down deep inside. The
confidence, the knowledge, the constant feedback, not to mention the
friends that I have made, has made this the best journey that I have
embarked on."
Curriculum
The training is a balance between theory and practice. Candidates
will learn Hatha yoga postures and how to teach safely and
effectively. Classes will also address specialty populations.
In addition to classes in Anatomy & Physiology, candidates will
learn about diet and nutrition, meditation and deep relaxation
techniques, pranayama or enhanced breathing techniques, and will
also study Raja Yoga, the yogic study of the mind which deals with
the philosophical foundations of yoga.
